I have been working with Judith Ehlert off and on for over 4 years buying and selling one house or another.  I lived in Sandpoint, Idaho for about 6 years, previous to moving to Dover.  During my time in Sandpoint, I purchased a house in Laclede,Idaho. I loved that place in Laclede that Judith (who is also a good friend) found for me. However, when the Dover Bay Development came on the market, I found Dover a more desirable location for me.  During my Dover Bay purchase there were some complications and Judith stood behind me in every way, working steadfastly for me.  Before moving into Dover, I first had to sell my Sandpoint house which Judith also handled.  She was very perceptive in her choice of clients and matched up the new owners perfectly for the house and for me and for the seller.  I am still friends with that family. Upon selling the Laclede home, once again Judith handled that transaction for me.  I was out of the country during most of that process and the buyers were a bit difficult and time comsuming to deal with.  She did beautifully with them and was very patient with me as I am a bit protective of my homes.  Judith is always very precise, getting the facts together and taking care of any problems that crop up, getting in touch with the necessary repair people or such.  I plan on staying at Dover for awhile, but I have no doubts who I would use as a realtor if I ever choose to move again.

Dear Judith, It doesn’t seem like long ago that I met you at my parents old home on Spruce Street. Then again it seems like a long time ago. Signing on the home this morning was something I can not tell you how much meaning there was behind all of it.  To be where I am now versus 4 years ago is something I could NEVER have imagined when life had dealt a serious blow to my balance. To lose both my parents within 6 weeks of each other, and a month later be going through a divorce in the midst of co-executorship of the wills, to have to sell my home and watch as it was taken over by another man with my ex-wife and children.  Finally a bankruptcy, I  remember one VERY difficult night, one that I will never forget. For months and years afterwards, I fought my way back through the pain and anguish that I would wish on no one. I made a promise to my children and stuck to that promise. I feel blessed today. When I walked in the house for the first time it felt like home. A feeling I have not been able to feel for quite sometime.  I knew the minute you showed us the house that this was the home I wanted for my family, now and as they grow. I just want to take this moment that I have this afternoon to say how grateful I am to you, my lender, the listing agent, the Seller and her children.   I feel as if a new chapter in my life is starting and the healing process that I have been through for a number of years is  proving to be successful. My fiancé loves the house.  It has been a struggle for us from time to time.  Blending families is a difficult and trying time when 2 divorced parents decide to join together.  The place we live in now has been nice, but it feels like a crisis shelter with all the memories of healing the wounds of the past. Too often in life we pass up opportunities to tell someone how much of an impact they just made on your life.  I just wanted to let you know how much of a role you just played. You, Judith, and everyone involved have played a major part in re shaping a beginning for my life, my fiancé’s and for our kids and grandchildren.

We just wanted to say thanks for all the help you have been.  My experience has been that the minute I tell a Realtor it might be up to a year before we are going to be able to conclude all of our business here in Arizona with selling both our home and our property in the mountains, I was given a less than cordial attitude.

You, on the other hand, went far and above what I expected.  I would like to thank you again for the packet full of interesting points, maps and such.  When Debra and I started looking for a place to retire we had narrowed it down to 3 areas of the country.  After talking with you and looking at all of the information you sent, it was easy to pick where we would like to live.  Your company, Tomlinson Sandpoint Sothebys Int.
